Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
We provide a unique service to our clients. In order to insure a complete understanding of our services, please review the following frequently asked questions.
| Q. | How long will it take for me to find a new career position?
| | A. | Career Management Associates cannot make guarantees or assurances regarding the specific length of time it will take you to find a position because too many factors associated with finding a position are beyond our control. The more motivated a client is the greater the possibilities are for success in both time and job satisfaction. |

| Q. | Will any Internet site, job board or Internet listing alone be effective in my career search?
| | A. | The Internet can be a powerful tool if you have the right resources and know how to use them; however, there is no single Internet site, job board or listing that will guarantee your success. Recent studies show that fewer than 5% of job hunters land positions via Internet sites, job board or Internet listings. Our process is designed to target the total job market, and to maximize effective use of the Internet. |

| Q. | Will Career Management Associates guarantee me a job?
| | A. | Career Management Associates offers a comprehensive program that addresses all avenues of career search. Career Management Associates is not an employment or placement agency and cannot guarantee any individual’s success; however, we do guarantee to work with you for the full term of your agreement to help you find a career position. Your success is ultimately determined by your overall effort. |

| Q. | Are Career Management Associates clients provided personal introductions to decision-makers or hiring managers?
| | A. | Career Management Associates assists in a process of lead and contact development to appropriate markets where your skills and interests fit potential opportunities. Due to significant individual variances in skills, experience, locations, etc., we cannot promise or guaranty any specific corporate or executive introductions to any client. |
| |
| Q. | When I become a Career Management Associates Client will I get access to an exclusive "Hidden Job Market" or a secret database of jobs?
| | A. | The term "Hidden Job Market" is widely used and is defined as those positions not yet published. No single company, list, or database has an exclusive corner on this market. Career Management Associate trains you on the best methods to approach the unpublished and published job markets. |
| |
| Q. | Can Career Management Associates guarantee me a better salary than I am earning now?
| | A. | Our role is to educate you on a position’s market value and to help you negotiate the highest possible value for your skills. Career Management Associates will assist you with negotiation strategies and techniques to induce better job offers and fringe benefits. You must remember that the final determination of total compensation is that of the hiring company and not Career Management Associates. |
| |
| Q. | Will the company that hires me reimburse my Career Management Associates fee? Is the fee tax deductible?
| | A. | In some instances clients have negotiated direct reimbursement of our fees or a "signing bonus" to offset the cost of the fees. Career Management Associates does not control the decision of a hiring company and therefore cannot guarantee that a hiring company will reimburse your Career Management Associates fees or provide you a signing bonus. Everyone’s financial situation is different and therefore your tax questions are best addressed by your personal tax advisor. |
